Our students and staff are doing a wonderful job wearing facemasks. I would like to thank all the staff member, parents and guardians for their help and support. We would also like to thank all the community members for their donations of facemask.
Remote Learning Students
We currently have 13% of our students participating in remote learning. We started the school year near 25%. Remote Learning students may return to face to face instruction at any time. Remote Learning students are expected to complete their daily lessons which may include zoom meetings. Student attendance is based on student’s completion of daily lessons and zoom meetings.
Beyond The Bell
The purpose of the Beyond the Bell Program is to support student learning & development by providing homework help, academic intervention/enrichment, ACT prep, and clubs that connect kids & families to their school and community. Students in grades K - 12 who are enrolled in the Ridgewood School District are eligible for program participation. Students wishing to enroll in the Beyond the Bell Program must obtain an enrollment form. Handbooks and enrollment forms are available in the main office of the school buildings as well as the website. Remote Learning Students may participate in the Beyond the Bell after school program. Ridgewood High School has a Zoom Study Table available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can find the link under Students and Parents on the district website.
The Beyond the Bell sites at all three buildings will operate Monday through Thursday during the following hours:
High School 2:30 - 5:30
Middle School 2:45 - 5:45 beginning October 2020
Beyond the Bell after school activities are funded through a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant administered by the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, as well as the generous donations of individuals, community based & civic organizations.

Ridgewood Local School District will NOW offer a free breakfast and lunch to all students. Free lunch will be provided to all students effective Tuesday, September 8, 2020 until December 18, 2020. Participating in the free breakfast and lunch program helps Ridgewood Local Schools.
Ridgewood Elementary School breakfast will be served when the students entering the building in the morning. Ridgewood Middle School and Ridgewood High School students will pick up their grab and go breakfast in the cafeteria and proceed to their 1st period class. All three school buildings will serve lunch in the cafeteria with students eating either in the cafeteria, classroom and/or gym. Due to the current health situation, we will not have a share cart or microwave/toaster for student use.
Remote Learning student may begin to pick up their meals on Friday, September 11 at Ridgewood Middle School from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. If you have any questions, contact Michelle Stoffer at 740-545-5301 or [email protected]
Student Start and End Times
All school buildings will be open to students at 7:30 a.m.
All students will need to be in their school building by 7:50 a.m.
RES will dismiss car riders/walkers at 2:05 p.m.
RES will dismiss bus riders beginning at 2:20 p.m.
RMS will dismiss car riders/walkers at 2:20 p.m.
RMS will dismiss bus riders beginning at 2:30 p.m.
RHS will dismiss bus riders at 2:15 p.m.
RHS will dismiss car riders/walkers at 2:20 p.m.
- Start and End times are to help with staggering student movement in and out of the building.

Muskingum Valley Health Center
The MVHC Clinic, located in the module behind the elementary school, is now open. View the MVHC School-Based Health Program Video for information on the MVHC School-Linked Health Care Program. Parents/ Guardians must complete the MVHC Electronic Docusign Forms for their students to participate in the program. The program also provides health care to the community. An appointment can be scheduled by calling 1-888-454-5157.
Building Hours and Restrictions
We are restricting visitors to all buildings at this time. If you need anything, please call your child’s school building or central office. Our buildings are open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
