Terry Guilliams Honored as Coshocton County Employee of the Year

From the Award Ceremony: "It has been said that “Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.” Our first recipient has been an educator for 37 years and is currently teaching the children of his former students. Terry Guilliams, or “Mr. G” as he is affectionately referred, is a Social Studies Teacher for the Ridgewood Local Schools. Mr. G employs instructional strategies that engage students and enables them to drive and evaluate their own success. He utilizes a system called “Project Empowerment” to accomplish this goal. Students choose what portion of the unit they want to learn about each day, their homework assignments, and when to take their tests and quizzes. He genuinely cares about his students and their learning. Mr. G’s love of history is evident in his support of the National Geography Bee. He plans and proctors the Ridgewood Middle School Geography Bee. He has had three students that have advanced to the State competition, including this year’s school winner." RHS & Circle K Fueling Our Schools Project

We are so excited about the partnership between RHS & Circle K for the Fueling Our Schools project.  Fueling Our Schools is a win-win for all of us!  When you purchase gasoline at the local Circle K on  a Fill-Up Night, a portion of the profit from each gallon goes toward this program for a maximum of $1,000.   That money goes toward a program of Mr. Stoffer's choosing within the High School.  We have had one National Fill-Up Night in October.  We have a second fill-up night on February 14th for the Ridgewood-Coshocton game.  We will have another National Fill-Up night on March 7th and another date will be chosen before the end of the school year.  Click 'more' to see the presentation of a $1,000 check from Circle K to Ridgewood Schools!
