Monday, February 19,  will be the first makeup day for students. By now students should have all three blizzard bags
completed and the work turned in.

One of Ridgewood's Own Awarded Buckeye Career Center Student of the Month!
Joshua Hixon, a senior from Ridgewood enrolled in Pharmacy Technician, is the December male Student of the Month. Hixon is employed as a State Tested Nurse Aide at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home. His instructor, Chris McCoury had this to say about her student, “When it comes to studying, practicing and applying his knowledge, Josh has developed study sheets and has made copies for the entire class. He volunteers to develop and run various practice games to test the students’ knowledge.”

Ridgewood Middle School is selling Warthers commemorative holiday ornaments for $8.00 each.  Funds collected from the sale will be used to support student incentives, activities, and awards.  Please submit your payment at the time of order.  Checks can be made out to Ridgewood Local Schools.  Thank you for your support!  Click here to see a sample of the ornaments for sale.

 
75 Veterans Honored
On November 11, Ridgewood Middle School honored 75 veterans with a complimentary breakfast and assembly.  Click here for a list of the Verterans honored.  The middle school choir led by Jennifer Shanks and the Isleta United Methodist Church Kristal Bell Choir led by Darla Glasure performed patriotic music.

Ridgewood Performing Arts Department Releases Music Video
The Ridgewood Performing Arts Department collaborated with The Vocal Company to create a music video emphasizing the importance of positive behavior in schools. Click here to view the video!  The students of the drama class scripted, blocked, directed, and acted in the scenes and the students of the Dynamic Chorale recorded a twelve part a cappella arrangement of Superheroes (originally performed by the Script) arranged by Tom Anderson. Thank you to the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation and our many local supporters for making this dream a reality!click here.  
Marching Generals Achieve Superior Rating at State!
The Ridgewod Marching Generals were awarded a I "Superior" Rating at OMEA State Marching Band Finals this past Saturday, November 4.   They are one of only three bands in their class in the entire state to receive straight superior ratings across every category.  Congratulations, Marching Generals! 
RMS 6th graders are going to College!
The 6th grade students at Ridgewood Middle School will be visiting COTC and OSU-Newark on Oct. 25, 2017. This campus visit is part of an on-going career-readiness initiative that our school district continues to support. The students and staff will be able to tour the campus and hear from admissions counselors as well as current students about both colleges. We partnered with Brian Crilow, Coshocton County C.A.R.E.S, and Toni Trowbridge, COTC for this event. We appreciate this opportunity for our 6th grade students! 
7th Grade Volleyball Team Has An Amazing Season
The 2017 seventh grade volleyball team had an amazing season. The girls had some growing pains along the way, learning to work as a team, learning how to communicate on the floor, and how to handle pressure when it was their turn to serve. They pulled it all together at the right time and ended the season as IVC Southern Division Runner-ups.
