Cami Brill received the Outstanding Student Award. Cami is a 12th grade student at Ridgewood High School. She is a multi-sport athlete that is an active member in several organizations such as National Honor Society, Teen Institute, and Quiz team. Cami honored Duke Stark, her Physics teacher and quiz team coach. She indicated that Mr. Stark has challenged me on an academic level as well as challenging me to strive for confidence, integrity, and excellence outside the classroom. Tim Romine is a 12th grade Ridgewood High School student that attends the Coshocton County Career Center. He was also honored by the MVESC as Outstanding Student. Tim is a student ambassador that represents the Culinary Arts program. He is also Vice-President of Student Council. Roberta Donathon is a 12th grade Ridgewood High School student who won the Susan Writing Scholar award. Roberta submitted two essays to the committee. This recognition included a $500 scholarship. Chad Lahna was recognized as MVESC Exemplary Educator. Mr. Lahna is an eight grade Math and Algebra I teacher at Ridgewood High School. Mr. Lahna state test scores are continuously the highest in the state. Mr. Lahna has high expectations for all students and creates a safe, nurturing learning environment. He removes barriers in the classroom to ensure equity for all students. The final award of the evening was presented to Cohen Cabot. Cohen was selected as Coshocton County’s Franklin B. Walter Winner. Cohen is a senior at Ridgewood High School. He is a multi-sport athlete and is ranked number one in his class. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and Foreign Language Club. Cohen received a $500 scholarship with this award.
