Ridgewood Middle School Students Perform Annie Junior

Pre-sale tickets may be purchased by contacting Wendy Croy at Ridgewood Middle School via phone (740-545-6335) or email ([email protected]). Tickets will be available at the door one hour prior to showtime.

On May 18, 19, and 20, Ridgewood Middle School will present Annie Jr., directed by Mr. Alex Mullen, Ms. Jennifer Shanks, and Mrs. Kirstin Slusser. With a delightful personality and plenty of wit, Annie, played by Kya Masloski, will charm her way into the hearts of many as she journeys from orphan to daughter of the billionaire Oliver Warbucks, played by Royce Shaffer. From her first appearance in a 1930s New York City orphanage, where she and other orphans are tormented by Miss Hannigan, played by Alex Martin, to her life with Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace, played by Keeley Carter, and her new mutt Sandy, played by Keira Schrock, Annie captivates the audience through her humor, determination, and innocence.

The Ridgewood Middle School Drama Club is thrilled to welcome to the stage over 70 students. After numerous plays, this heart-warming production will be the first musical presented by Ridgewood Middle School. Sixth grade student Kya Masloski will star as Annie in the production. Some of her favorite aspects of drama include the audition process, trying on costumes for the first time, and most importantly, spending every afternoon with friends. “What I like about being Annie is that she always looks at the bright side of things and tries to keep everyone’s spirits up.”
