Ridgewood High School has partnered with the Second and Seven Foundation which was founded by former Ohio State greats Luke Fickell, Ryan Miller, and Mike Vrabel. The purpose of the foundation is to tackle childhood literacy and to provide high school student-athletes an opportunity to pay it forward by visiting the elementary to read to the Second Grade students’ books furnished by the foundation. These books focus on teamwork, good decision making, and self-esteem. Following the reading, the student-athletes will discuss the moral of the books and complete an activity from the book with the class. Each Second Grader will receive his/her own copy of the book to keep.
