Preschool Grandparents Day

   The Ridgewood Preschool Program happily welcomed over 80 grandparents for Grandparent's Day. Grandparents were able to observe their grandchild's clasroom routine, enjoy song selections performed by their grandchildren, complete crafts and keepsakes, play games, visit and read stories together. Afterthe morning session was completed grand and great-grandparetns escorted their grandchildren to the cafeteria to enjoy lunch together before saying goodbye. Special activites for the day included creating a handprint poem with the hands of grandchildren overlapping those of their grandparents' in Miss Jamie's room and using an old fashioned hand-crank ice cream freezer to make homemade ice cream in Mill Carolyn's room. The Ridgewood Preschool Program would like to thank our program and building staff for their assistance and cooperation during the event, especially teh elementary kitchen and custodial staff.  A final, heartfelt thank you goes to the wonderful grand and great-grandparents able to attend our special event. Thank you for being a supportive and caring resource for your grandchildren, as well as our program.
